Bohemian Spirit
Dress : Hollister | Sandals : Old Navy | Sunnies : Old Navy - in stores | Bag :Woodbury Lane (similar)
I'm writing this morning from one of my favorite coffee shops called Tuckaway. Based on the name it shouldn't come as a shock that it's tucked away right off the main road under a huge tropical tree. There's nothing too special about it on the inside. It's exactly what you'd expect from an island cafe, bright blue walls, a whole bunch of cliche signs saying things like "life is better at the beach," (which is entirely true by the way) and Jack Johnson coming in through the speakers, but whenever I'm here it kind of takes me to another world. Sitting here, writing, and people watching with ironically dark grey skies this morning feels like a scene out of a movie. I'm just waiting for an awkward encounter with a cute guy to bring it all full circle ;)
On another note, these photos were obviously not taken at this coffee shop. They were snapped on a day last week when my new friend and photographer, Hernan and I were exploring Naples. Believe it or not, this dress is from Hollister (yeah that place we all shopped at in high school, where we likely made some questionable purchases). I'm not sure what lead me into the store for the first time in years, but I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that I'm living in a beach town now. I could not pass up this faux suede, lace-up dress that's an ideal washed red tone. It's funny...even though the whole boho look is trending hard right now, it's probably not something I would be wearing back home. So rocking boho pieces almost everyday now makes me feel like I'm getting away with something.
