Florida Update

If you’ve been following me for awhile now, you know that my move to Florida was sudden, slightly impulsive, and intended to be for a 2-3 month span. Well, as of a few days ago I’ve been here for 3 months (3 really great, anxiety-free months). So you might be wondering what’s up and what the heck I’m actually doing here these days. I’m super excited to share that I’ve accepted a position on the management team (and helping out with digital marketing) at Free People in Naples! So it’s safe to say I’ll be here for awhile :) My favorite part about this is that it’s a brand new location so we’re starting from scratch and have been putting the store together this week in preparation for our opening on Friday! I am such a believer in trusting in the timing of our lives. The way that this position kind of fell into my lap was no coincidence, it was being in the right place at the right time and meeting the right people. Free People doesn’t even exist in Wisconsin (yet) so the opportunity would have never presented itself if I hadn’t followed my intuition telling me to move. I found out about the store opening not long after I arrived here from a sweet Florida based blogger, Sabrina of Sea + Ink. This gives me so much faith that I am where I am supposed to be right now. If you’re familiar with Free People you know that their styles are very boho and ethereal. As someone who is usually drawn to minimalistic pieces (black and white striped tees are my go-to), it will be fun and interesting to see the shape my style takes throughout my journey with Free People. My style has already changed so much since my move so I think this will be a good fit for where I’m going with it :) I can say with certainty though that I will still be a jeans girl forever. Just maybe with a little more flare (see what I did there ;))
