Flying Solo | Kevin Murphy
Last Saturday night I stayed in Chicago in an amazing condo in the middle of the city that my friend Lauren hooked us up with. Early the next day we sipped our coffee while taking in this incredible rooftop view of the city and cherished the morning light before my flight left for Vegas. Dressing for a plane ride can be a little tricky. For instance, I left perfect August weather in Chicago knowing that I'd be landing in 100+ degree weather in the desert, but I didn't want to be freezing on the plane like I usually am. So I layered a bit and opted more for warmth by keeping my toes closed in my Converse sneaks paired with summery jeans. Although I was satisfied with the laid-back vibes I was giving off I was still a teeny tiny bit cold on the flight (if you know me you know that I'm ALWAYS cold) and I was most definitely sweating while standing in line for the taxi to my hotel when I landed. You win some you lose some I guess.
Another tricky thing about travel and always being on the go is keeping your hair nice and fresh. I hate washing my hair right before a flight because I always feel so grimy after I get off the plane that I usually just clean up again anyway (not worth it to put in all that work twice)! I swear by Kevin Murphy's dry shampoo in situations like this. Sunday morning I just sprayed a generous amount to the crown of my head and teased my hair a bit and just like that I look and feel fresh! I suppose this is where the "win" aspect comes into play ;) Keep an eye out for some snapshots and insider scoop on the Magic Tradeshow later this week on KN - maybe even tomorrow if I'm feeling motivated!
