Inspiration Station
I've always been the kind of person whose mood is greatly influenced by her surroundings. In fact, this is a small part of the reason I decided to begin my own business in the first place. I knew I needed to be in an office space that was bright and inspiring if I was going to be spending multiple hours a day there (especially during Winter). I had this paint color (Moonshine by Benjamin Moore) picked out for months knowing it was exactly the soothing and calm hue I needed, but I was in the process of launching my business/website- no big deal - and never got around to the paint store. Lucky for me Valentine's Day rolled around and my mom surprised me with the perfect V-Day gift…a gallon of paint ;)
The following day Dan and I got to work on revamping the room into something more creative. A few notable changes from the room before the transformation: my desk now faces the window instead of the wall (yay!), the walls are now grey instead of blue, and I found a more functional way to display all of the motivational prints I received from my BFFs for Christmas (which was just a coincidence, but they know me so well)!
Some keepin-it-real facts that I feel are necessary to mention include:
1. I do not always have a beautiful bouquet of red roses on my desk (remember this took place around Valentine's Day).
2. The space is never this clean. See that clothing rack in the corner? Well there's usually boxes on top AND underneath it. Cardboard boxes just happen to not look so pretty in interior design photos.
3. That huuuge smile on my face? I promise you this is not my usual working face. The smile is likely a result of my photographer friend Kim making me laugh during a shoot as always.
Any questions on where I got something that you see in the photos? Leave 'em in the comments ↓ and I'll be happy to hook you up!
