Picnic Perfection

 Sometimes it's nice to take a break from my typical outfit posts and get a little more creative. My photographer friend (Kim) and I happened to have access to this perfect secluded area with dirt roads and stunning scenery. We just knew it needed to be taken advantage of when the fall colors were at their peak. The result was this whimsy little picnic for one.

 I began uploading these pictures as an escape from a frustration I was having. I quickly realized the irony of this since a deserted area with a good book and no technology would absolutely be my happy place as of late. Today I encourage you to get swept away from reality for a few moments and imagine yourself in a different, far away place. Whether that be on a beach with a drink in your hand or with nature and a good book ;)

Take a minute or two to forget the frustrations of everyday life and take a look at the beauty that surrounds you, even if you're not feeling like you need a "life break" at the moment. It can't hurt, and besides…it's a Monday.
