Bloom Where You Are Planted
Whenever I blog or write about blogging I find it kind of silly, but lately I've realized that blogging is making me appreciate my city (& state too) more than I ever have. And that's saying a lot since I'm WI born and raised. Part of it might be the change in seasons, or the fact that for the first time ever I'm not back at school which gives me more freedom to explore and relax a little bit. I think I owe most of it to blogging though. Following other local bloggers who post photos of stunning scenery on their morning walks or weekend hikes is keeping me on the lookout for this kind of beauty that I somehow never really noticed before. I encourage you to do the same, wherever you may be!
Because of my blog I was asked to be a part of Milwaukee Magazine's October issue on "Reasons to Love Milwaukee." You betcha I read that baby front to back and finished it with a happy heart thinking "damn this place is pretty cool." Now with getting my business up and running I've been introduced to an entirely new group of locals including makers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. I've come to find that we're pretty passionate here. And I like that :)
I suppose this all leads me to the outfit above which I recently wore to Colectivo, my favorite local coffee spot. I'd be okay with wearing an outfit like this every day. The destructed skinnies + BB Dakota cardigan instantly gives the look an effortless feel. Plus, who doesn't like a pretty pop of color on their feet? :)
