New York to California
No I'm not moving to New York or California (although I wish that were so). Today I just wanted to share a little analogy I recently heard that has really impacted me. I'm someone who constantly thinks about the future, to a fault even. Sometimes it inhibits my ability to be preset unfortunately. But a few weeks ago after hearing this, I feel more confident about what the future holds and that everything will work itself out, I don't need to be the one attempting to work things out years beforehand!
If you were to hop in a car and drive almost 3,000 miles from New York all the way to California in the dark, the car (okay and gas and a GPS) would get you there. Despite only being able to see a few hundred feet ahead thanks to the headlights, you'll still get to your destination even though it is so many miles ahead that you can't physically see it. You'll get there. You don't doubt the car's ability to get you there do you? No! Because as long as your still going and follow the road that your headlights are illuminating, you will arrive.
This was eye opening to me! When it comes to thinking about the future, just stay one or two steps ahead, not necessarily months or years ahead, and life will lead you to exactly where you need to be ♥
A little food for thought on this Wednesday :) I'd also like to point out the tote I'm rockin' in these snaps by Resler Photography. It is the first exclusive (and handmade) piece that is available at Woodbury Lane! Hand painted and sewn in Milwaukee, WI by Directive. It's been a hit thus far so don't wait to grab yours, we likely will retire it sometime this year because we've got other exclusive plans in the works ;)
